About Ryan Hegland & Hegland’s Creative Landscapes

Ryan began working for local landscaping and gardening businesses in the Rochester area in 2000. After receiving his Horticulture degree from Rochester Community and Technical College in 2002, he launched Hegland’s Creative Landscapes in 2003. In the beginning, his tools were just a wheelbarrow and a pickup truck. By combining dedication, hard work, quality craftsmanship, and ambition with honesty, integrity and professionalism Ryan has built a lasting landscaping business with a solid reputation. The backbone and growth of Hegland’s Creative Landscapes is attributed to complete customer satisfaction as demonstrated by our client testimonials and the exquisite landscapes which have provided them with years of enjoyment.

With over 20 years of landscaping experience, Ryan has collaborated with many other professionals in the industry. This experience has provided continual growth and expansion into the various specialties within landscaping and outdoor living. Through investigation of new landscape techniques and materials, Ryan has developed a specialty in “hardscapes” including boulder placement, limestone projects, retaining walls, paver patios and walkways, firepits and more.
